Our Term 2 Inquiry Unit is ‘Life in a Pond’. We are preparing for our excursion to the LaTrobe Wildlife Sancutuary, and thinking about what we already know about life in a pond. Over the school holidays I spent some time at Lorne and went to Erskine Falls. There was lots of pond life! Here are some photos of the pond life I saw.

Today students in 2MG taught a partner a skill that they are good at, and in return learnt something from their partner.

We also needed to think about how we would present to our partner and reflect on whether we were prepared, spoke clearly and had a good understanding about our skill.

We had a great day on Thursday celebrating our 100th day of Prep! We did lots of fun activities and can’t believe we’ve been at school for so long already.

What has been your favourite thing about Prep so far? Why?

Hi Preps! As promised here are some photos of our new puppy Louie. Yesterday we took him to puppy preschool. He is learning so fast! He can already sit, shake, drop and come. He still needs lots of practise though! I’m having so much fun being with him, sometimes he can be a bit naughty and bite but I just ignore him. He cried a lot his first night but now he loves his kennel! ‘Casa di Louie’ means Louie’s house. I painted the plaque and he even let me put his footprints on it too! I just love him so much!

If you have any tips or advice, let me know. Remember, I’ve never had a puppy before!
